This blend of high grown Ceylon black tea from Sri Lanka and full bodied black tea form Anhuii Province in China may well be the perfect iced tea blend.
Ingredients: Black tea blend. Brewing Instructions: Use 1 heaping teaspoon per 6 oz cup; heat fresh water to a roaring boil; let steep for 5-7 minutes. To make 1 quart of iced tea place 6 teaspoons of tea into an infuser and into a teapot. Pour 1 1/4 cups of boiling water over the tea. Steep for 5 minutes. Quarter fill a serving pitcher with cold water. Pour the brewed tea into your pitcher. Add ice an top-up the pitcher with cold water. ( A rule of thumb when preparing fresh brewed iced tea is to double the strength of the hot tea since it will be poured over ice and diluted with cold water) |
